Strips Chicken Review

Strips first opened in Olathe in 2016. They are a local, family owned fast food restaurant that specializes in chicken strips. Strips just opened a new location in Waldo near Rockhurst and I wanted to review how they stack up compared to other big name chicken places. I will compare Strips to Chick-Fil-A, and Canes. I will use a one through five grading scale with three categories, taste, presentation, and freshness.

Since this review is mainly focused on Strips, I’ll review them last. First I had the chicken tenders from Chick-Fil-A and they were pretty good, but their chicken tenders are not usually my first option there. I gave it a 4 on taste, 3 on presentation, and a 5 on freshness. It was hot and ready fast in Chick-Fil-A fashion. The tenders were above average chicken tenders but I still prefer the nuggets. The total score was a 12 out of 15.

Second, I ate at Canes. They earned a 5 on taste from me, 5 on presentation, and 4 on freshness. Canes had the best tasting tender in my opinion and the toast on the side made the presentation an automatic 5. The final score for Canes was 14.

My final tender tender reviewed was Strips at the new location in Waldo. The chicken tenders blew my expectations away. The tenders were served with a donut hole on the side which starts them out with a 5 for presentation, they earned a 4 on taste, and lastly a 5 on freshness. The food came out hot and quickly after I ordered it and tasted amazing. Even though it is named Strips, I still prefer their nuggets and I can not say their tenders are better than Canes. I gave them a score of 14 out of 15.

In conclusion Chick-Fil-A was my least favorite out of the three and I liked Strips and Canes almost the same as they tied with a 14 out of 15 score. I highly suggest trying out Strips for yourself, and see if it lives up to the Canes or Chick-Fil-A hype.
