I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for all dogs, especially mine. I am thankful for Rockhurst High School. I am especially thankful for each day I get to wake up.
When Thanksgiving comes around, it is always a good time for reflection and introspection on the small and large things that one is thankful for. It is a time during which we can look at all the impacts on our lives that have aided in our formation. For me, the most important aid in my formation is definitely my family. It is not only my dad who has helped me through tough times, but the influence of my siblings too. My siblings are far older, some even with kids and families of their own, and their older age allows them to be both a role model and a close friend to me. Their guidance is what has allowed me and my brother to continue to pursue the right path and to hold close to our hearts the values of education and family.
I am thankful for my mom. For having great memories with her and her teaching me how to be on my own. I am thankful for my grandma for taking care of me and showing me and abundant amount of love. I thank God for keeping me safe. Of course, I am thankful for Rockhurst in being vital in making me the man I am today.
I am thankful for the time away from school and to be able to not worry about having homework. I am most thankful for time with family and friends. I am also thankful for all of the food that God has blessed us with. I am sad that I will not be able to be with my friends at school but that makes me realize how thankful I should be for the people in my life at school. I am thankful for the college selection process to be over so I can focus on having a more relaxed senior year.
