This year, homecoming should be a blast from the past because the time machine theme will be taking the setting of the school back decades. The Homecoming dance is being held in the gymnasium of Rockhurst High School on Saturday, October 10. The dance, as always, will be offered to the sophomore, junior, and senior classes.
Homecoming week has been a tradition at Rockhurst that allows for a fun environment leading up to the dance itself. This year, the theme of the homecoming week will be decades. Each day, students will be expected to dress like people of that decade would have dressed. The decade will switch day by day. The freshman will be allowed to partake in the week of decades. The football team will be taking on Helias High School from Jefferson City, Missouri on October 9, the day before homecoming, at Rockhurst.
The game will occur at the usual time of 7:00 p.m. The theme will be iconic dressers, which will encourage to dress up like their favorite stars from the past. There will be a pep assembly on Friday with various activities relating to the homecoming theme.
